The fourth edition of 'Lets Get Moving' has been produced by the Active Together team. The booklet contains information about all the activities and events taking place including health walks, exercise classes, events and much more. Parish Walks
MEND Programme
The MEND (Mind Exercise Nutrition & Do it!) programme provides overweight and obese children aged 7 - 13 and their families with the opportunity to learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle. MEND is a 10 week programme offering workshop sessions on diet and lifetsyle choices together with fun exercise sessions. The programme is currently running at Lutterworth Sports Centre and we are enrolling now for sessions that will be held at Harborough Leisure Centre, starting from September 17th. Active Lifestyle Exercise Referral
The Active Lifestyle scheme is a great way of using physical activity to recover from health problems. Patients can be referred by their health professional (doctor, physio etc) to the gym, swimming, community exercise classes or health walks. Leisure Access Card
The Leisure Access Card provides families and looked after children with a 50% discount for use at Harborough Leisure Centre and Lutterworth Sports Centre. You can apply for a leisure access card if you are eligible for free school meals, a looked after child or a foster carer and child. - Beginners Jogging Club
Jogging is a great way to get fit and enjoy exercising outdoors. Marianne is running FREE weekly beginners sessions at Harborough Leisure every thursday from 6.45pm. Download Marianne's 'Joggers Guide' from the left hand box on this page.
- Dodge Ball
Weekly dodge ball sessions take place at Harborough Leisure Centre every Thursday from 8-9pm. Why not come and join in?

Active Lifestyle Exercise Referral
The Active Lifestyle exercise referral scheme enables health professionals (GP's, Practice Nurses, Physio's, Dietitians etc) to refer patients for exercise to improve their health and promote an active lifestyle. Patients can be referred to Harborough Leisure Centre or Lutterworth Sports Centre for gym sessions or swimming at reduced rates and also to community exercise classes across the District. Step Out!
The Step Out dance project has proven to be a resounding success with the pilot sessions in Broughton Astley and Tilton on the Hill. Up to 70 people attended the sessions which cost only £2. Planning is now completed for the next phase of sessions in Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Fleckney, Medbourne and Thurnby. For more information download the brochure:
